The Muhlenberg
Lirary's bell tower is the architectural symbol of the school.
This was one of my first cartoons published and was one of just
a few without an overt political message. As such, it was one
of the best-received.
The cartoon's
style was heavily influenced by Jules Pfeiffer. One thing I liked
about his style was his elimination of the panel outline. I would
experiment in quite a few cartoons with breaking down the panel
or melting it.
