This cartoon
was published in 1971 in the Muhlenberg Weekly in Allentown PA.
Drawn during the height of the protests against the Vietnam War,
it describes what I saw as wrong with America at that time: pollution,
war, abuse of power. Thirty-five years later, I think much of
it is still applicable.
Originally
a line drawing, I recently colorized it using Adobe Photoshop.
The actual tone of the aged newprint can be seen in the Bill of
Rights. It seemed the perfect color of parchment. By the way,
the head of the judge in the upper left corner is a reel-to-reel
tape recorder.
